RHONA  “RHO”  BENNETT

The State of Illinois has been known to spawn a number of prominent individuals, President Lincoln, Senator Obama, Oprah Winfrey and now … Rhona Bennett.  I can say with certainty that Rhona is on a path to become one of America’s prominent female vocalists.  An accomplished singer, songwriter, actress, and dancer, Rhona feels at home in the studio, on the stage and silver screen.  With more than twenty years of experience as a professional entertainer, Ms. Bennett has surely found her first love.

Rhona began her singing career in South Chicago, Illinois at the age of seven where she sang at local churches and theatres.  Her first big break came when working with Oprah Winfrey on the television series “The Women of Brewster Place”.  Shortly after the television series Rhona’s career began to blossom.  She auditioned and was accepted as a Mousketeer on Disney’s Mickey Mouse Club, with the likes of Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears.

After the cancellation of the Disney Show, Rhona made a decision to head to Los Angeles where she found herself working on such sitcoms as “Living Single” and “Martin”.  She also played the recurring role of Loquitia on the sitcom “Homeboys in Outer Space”.  Bennett’s most memorable sitcom is her portrayal of Nicole on the “Jaime Foxx Show”.

It was just a matter of time before Rhona was approached by producer Rodney Darkchild Jenkins.  Her relationship with Jenkins led her to Sony Music where she released the album “Rhona”.  The album featured the hit single “Satisfied” which shipped Gold in Japan and topped the U.S. Charts at #1 in the Hot Dance Club category.  It was during this time period she became known as “The First Lady of Darkchild” and took on the moniker of “Miss R&B”.

Once again, Rhona’s career took a turn for the better when she became a member of the Award winning R&B group En Vogue.  She arrived just in time to be part of the groups 4th
album “Soul Flower”.

In addition to spending this past half decade with En Vogue, Rhona still finds time for a solo career.  She recently released an album titled “Miss R&B’s sophomore album”.  She has also recorded with 40 Glocc, Lil Boo and Brandy to name a few.

Rhona is currently hosting her personal web radio talk show called “Perspective Corners” on America Talk Live Radio, she also holds seminars as a personal Power Life Coach.  She is available for concerts, private engagements and theatrical productions.
