Khay Jhay and I have a relationship that goes back a couple of years. We both find it somewhat humorous because neither of us remembers exactly how we met. That’s right… I don’t remember how we met. But I do remember his music. Very soulful is how I remembered it. Very soulful.
Born In Louisiana, Khay Jhay’s parents moved the family to Los Angeles when he was eight years old. Music took hold of Khay Jhay soon after arriving in CA, and he has been playing guitar pretty much ever since. Although an accomplished drummer and pianist, Khay Jhay prefers writing and performing with the guitar. As a guitarist he has performed at the Long Beach Jazz Fest, opening shows for Brian Culbertson, George Duke, Stanley Clarke and many others. He has toured throughout the Country as a member of L.T.D. and Slave. Khay Jhay has worked with Louis Johnson, Brenton Wood and Rham Lee of EWF just to name a few.
Khay Jhay is currently residing in the Los Angeles area where he remains active as a studio session player. His four piece soul/jazz combo is available for engagements throughout Southern California. He has recently released two highly rated CD's that are available on this web-site.
